well i understand synthesis a bit. Im capable of making some simple synths :p. I was hoping that my virus would help me with synthesis. Since it would be much, much more fun to play with the knobs on a real synthesizer then moving knobs with your mouse. And it is! However, i can't seem to connect it properly so i can't update it, remove or make new presets. So what's the point of synthesis if you can't save any :(. The problem probably lies within my soundcard, since it doesn't reconize my virus as a midi tool. I already asked the Virus Support and they were really friendly and helpfull. But it didn't work out.
I'm close to selling my virus again after only 2 months of owning it.
Anyhoo, can i get your msn? :D
FlamingFirebolt
Ha! :D I already have my Virus C. (Hur hur)
Not that it's functional inside a daw but oh well.
I'm getting really intrested in psytrance, so i'm beginning to learn it. For some reason i've never really found a good psytrance artist untill now. :D
Keep up the good stuff man i love it.
So you got any tips for a starter like me?
Or can we collab someday?
hopeku
Well get Andi Vax secrets of mixing. It's a free tutorial over the web. Be careful cause the guy is russian and he has a weird accent and he make a lot of grammar mistakes. It was such a pain for me since I talk french but the tutorial is probably one of the best you could find.
Also learning your synthesis is the most important but since you have a virus I guess you understand how a synth work quite well.
If you have more specifics questions just ask man!
